John has extensive experience in manufacturing automation across various roles from system integrator to educator and application developer. He currently works for Liveline Technologies, a company working on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning applications for manufacturing lines.

Francisco is a systems architect that built a company on servicing manufacturing plants all over Ecuador and abroad. His company has capabilities across a spectrum of system integration starting with panel builds, up to SCADA and MES systems. Francisco has been nominated multiple times for the ICC Firebrand award which recognizes some of the top Ignition based projects in the world.

He founded a company that offers a set of services that rely on key software development principles and is applying them to what they build in the manufacturing setting. We explore what it took to build a company that embraced these principles, the hardware and software solutions they use, and what his outlook is on the industry.
In the twenty-eighth episode of the Manufacturing Hub, we speak to Adam Gluck, the CEO of Copia.io. Adam had extensive knowledge of software and DevOps after a number of years at Uber. He also has close ties to the manufacturing industry as he grew up involved in the automotive process. Based on his two passions, he saw a gap in software development best practices in manufacturing; he decided to build a company that would provide DevOps solutions to manufacturing companies across the US and the world.

Sam was able to secure multiple opportunities by building a community through his online content which includes written blog posts, videos and podcast episodes. He's joining the podcast to discuss his strategy, technical experience and what he believes to be an excellent avenue to getting business clients in today's environment.
In the twenty-first episode of the Manufacturing Hub, we speak with Sandro Quintero and Alejandro Lopez from Festo USA and Canada respectively. We begin our discussion by understanding their backgrounds and more importantly perseverance in immigrating to a new country and continuing to pursue their career in automation. We then dive deeper into the culture at Festo and uncover how a privately held company is able to provide support unlike any other. Festo has expertise in integrating their own products, as well as, other manufacturers. They don’t shy away from putting together a custom system that utilizes Festo, Rockwell Automation, Cognex, etc. We end our discussion by discussing the various training programs Festo is able to offer to their employees, some of the personal interests Alejandro and Sandro are pursuing and their outlook on the manufacturing industry.

However, Luis has had a technical beginning and joined the company through an Engineering Leadership Development Program. By combining his technical mastery and interest in business, Luis transitioned into the business development/marketing role.
